“There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.” Proverbs 16:25 (NLT)
We all have choices throughout life that have many different implications. Each choice we make directs our life to where we finally end up.
Generally when we have a decision to make, we tend to only get one perspective on it… our own. We forget how limited our view of the situation is; and based upon our small outlook we make a decision on what seems to be right.
We do not bother to consult what God has to say on the matter; or else we just don’t want to hear it.
It all comes down to the fact that we each have less than a 1 degree view of things and God has the whole 360 degree view. God knows the ramifications of each choice; we don’t.
Jeremiah says in Jeremiah 17:9, “The human heart is most deceitful and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?” Listening to our heart and our own ideas are a sure fire way to lead to death.
Don’t make the mistake of listening to your own sense of right and wrong… because it will lead to death. Godly wisdom will lead to life.
Certain paths may seem right; but are actually cleverly disguised as death. Be wise. Follow God’s path; even when another path seems right to you.
