“Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed. And He sternly warned him and immediately sent him away, and He said to him, ‘See that you say nothing to anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.’ But he went out and began to proclaim it freely and to spread the news around, to such an extent that Jesus could no longer publicly enter a city, but stayed out in unpopulated areas; and they were coming to Him from everywhere.” (Mark 1:42-45, NASB)
I found this passage to be extremely challenging. Why you ask?
Look at how the man, now healed, proclaimed the name of Christ.
As far as I am concerned… he puts me to shame.
What if we all proclaimed Christ THAT much?
What if we proclaimed his name to such a great extent that our church had to add not only one extra service, but two?
What if we proclaimed his name so much that everyone in our city was talking about Him?
What if we were that bold?
Whether it be with our action or speech…
Proclaim Jesus THAT much.
